Hello and welcome! I’m Dr. April LaGue, a Professional Counselor Associate offering telehealth therapy throughout Oregon. I provide trauma-informed care for adolescents and adults, with a special focus on supporting LGBTQ+ clients and individuals navigating life transitions, identity exploration, and healing from difficult experiences.
Before becoming a Professional Counselor Associate, I worked as a school counselor, where I developed a deep appreciation for the resilience of young people and the importance of safe, affirming spaces for growth. That experience continues to shape my approach today—I strive to meet each client with compassion, authenticity, and respect for their unique story.
In addition to my counseling practice, I serve as a faculty member at Oregon State University, where I have the privilege of mentoring future counselors. This work keeps me grounded in both current research and the human side of what it means to help others heal and thrive.
My goal as a therapist is to provide a space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to move toward greater self-understanding and well-being. Through telehealth, I offer accessible, flexible care that meets you wherever you are—emotionally and geographically.
If you’re ready to begin a journey of healing and self-discovery, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
